Who We Are

Cipherion Inc. is a cybersecurity company based in Dallas, Texas. We operate the Cipherion Gatekeeper DNS protection service available at cipherioninc.com.

The DNS Service

What we store:

• Your home's public IP address (used only to authorize your home on the resolver)
• Your subscription email and billing record, processed by Stripe
• Messages you send to support@cipherioninc.com

What we never store:

• Your DNS queries. The resolver keeps no query log and no capture of what any device looks up.

We keep aggregate counters only — total queries, cache hit rate and blocked-domain counts per node — never per person. Your IP is retained until you cancel; billing records per Stripe's policy; support email for 12 months.

What the Extension Collects

Stored locally — never transmitted:

• Your activation token (gk_xxx) — stored in Chrome local extension storage
• Your protection settings — ClickFix on/off, clipboard guard on/off, notifications on/off
• Session threat history — ClickFix and clipboard attack events from the current browser session

Transmitted to Cipherion servers:

• Your activation token — used to authenticate API requests to gatekeeper.cipherioninc.com
• Your IP address — only when you use the Update IP feature
• Threat events — domain name, threat type, confidence score, and page URL — when a ClickFix or clipboard attack is detected and blocked

What We Do Not Collect

• Browsing history
• Passwords or form data
• Personal files or documents
• Data from any third-party services
• Analytics or advertising tracking data of any kind

How We Use Your Data

• Activation token — to verify your subscription and return your account information
• Threat events — to protect the Cipherion network by sharing threat intelligence across all nodes
• IP address updates — to update your whitelisted IP in our DNS authorization system

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Threat event data is used internally to improve network-wide protection for all subscribers.

Third-Party Services

The extension communicates with:

• gatekeeper.cipherioninc.com — Cipherion's own API for subscriber data, stats, and threat reporting
• cipherioninc.com — Cipherion's own website for account management
• api.ipify.org — IP detection only when you click "Detect My IP" — no data stored by us
• billing.stripe.com — Stripe's billing portal, only when you click "Manage Billing" — governed by Stripe's privacy policy

Data Retention

• Local extension data — stored until you sign out or uninstall the extension
• Server-side threat events — retained for 90 days for network security analysis
• Subscription data — retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account data by emailing support@cipherioninc.com. Local extension data can be cleared by signing out or uninstalling the extension.
